Pushkar is a magical place on the desert's edge. Walking through the town takes you by numerous stores with their wares ready for purchase. One of the world's few Brahma temples where prayers are offered continuously sits near the Pushkar Lake. The lake is an ideal place to enjoy an evening's sunset. Around the lake are many ghats --long steps to the water-- where pilgrims may bathe in the sacred waters. Though you may be warned of the pushy hawkers - priests, a simple no thank you (illai nanri) repeated endlessly seems to work.
