Mariakakis' Restaurant and Bakery was retired in 1997 and at the same location the family has opened a New Business now called Mariakakis' Gourmet Market. Store is open from 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM, Monday-Saturday, Closed Sundays. It is NOT a restaurant, but a gourmet store and fine wines shop, offerings olive oils, spices, preserves, vinegars, dressings, cheese, Boar's Head meats, etc. etc./ You might wish to update your files here and either delete our lisitng under restaurants, or clarify what our business is. We'd hate tp see patrons misled or inconvenienced to come to our store expecting one thing and finding something completely different. Thank you! -Johnny Mariakakis

A while back my mother and I ate (ordered one sweet and sour chicken platter and one lemon chicken platter along with two iced teas at your giddings, texas location and we were very dissatisfied with the overall service. Our waiter had a very bad attitude, our food was brought out to us cold and the service was also extremely slow. Therefore, in order to makeup for our first time bad experience we had at this location I was wondering if you might could reimburse me for the cost of these meals(since I paid for them). If not, could you possibly mail me a some free gift certificates(to use in your restaurant) good for purchasing two meals similar to the ones we had, or some other sort of discounts, etc..., to use in your restaurant?
