Attn. Dr. Chris Tacker: At the suggestion of Mr.Alex Glover, I am contacting you regarding the upcoming cave exhibit being planned at the museum. My wife, Susan , had consulted with Dr. Funderburg years ago about such a project. We have coordinated the N.C. Cave survey for 25 years and have records on over 1200 natural caves in the state. Only a small percentage of these are solution in origin. On the other hand, some of our state's tectonic caves are world class. Bat Cave, for example , has over a mile of passage in Augen-gneiss. Also, you might want to ask Dr. John Cooper about our N.C. Biospeleological Survey. We've been turning up some pretty interesting results in recent years. If we can be of any assistance with this project, please let us know. Sincerely, Cato Holler, Jr. ***************************** Dr.Cato Holler, Jr. P.O.
