  Sirs or Mesdames: I am a member of a local amateur performance group here in NH that in the past has put on biennial musical variety shows. Now we are thinking of including a number of short (5 minute or so) melodramas like "Who'll pay the rent; I can't pay the rent, I'll pay the rent, etc." We are *desperately* looking for source material, preferably material that uses songs from the 1940s and '50s. And of course being desperately non profit, we desire materials we can get for free. The Altavista search engine has let me to you. Can you help me?
